Update: Children endangered by gang violence in Honduras

Our Honduran church partners continue to ask us to pray for safety. The projects are located in extremely dangerous areas. In recent months, project activities have been frequently cancelled or postponed because of gang-related shootings and fights. Please join us in praying for peace for these communities. Ask God to protect children and families living and working amidst violence. 

Please continue to pray for J. We are concerned for his safety so he is still living in a hidden location provided by the local church. Please pray for God to protect J and his family.

Catalina Child Development Centre in Honduras asks us to pray for safety for the children and young people in their care. In their latest update, they share that gang violence has broken out in their community. Please pray for God to protect a young person named J. J has received specific threats from gang members. Compassion project staff and the local church have helped him move to a safer home. 

Please pray for God to provide peace and protection for the children in this community. Ask for J to know God’s comfort during this worrying time.
