Our colleagues in Rwanda ask us to keep praying for Benitha and her family. Benitha is recovering well and there are plans to give her a prosthetic arm to trial. Please pray for Benitha’s parents who are struggling to come to terms with the accident. Our local church partner is providing the family with support and counselling.
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
Join us in praying for 5-year-old Benitha in Rwanda who’s still recovering after suffering serious injuries in an accident. Last August, Benitha and her mum were in their kitchen when a tree, being cut nearby, fell and hit where they were standing.
Benitha’s right arm was badly crushed and she was rushed straight to hospital. Despite the doctors’ best efforts her injuries were too severe and her arm was amputated on 3 August.
Pray for strength and healing for Benitha as she continues to recover. Pray for His peace to surround her whole family at this time. Ask that Benitha would learn to adapt quickly as she looks to return to school and project activities.
“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV)
