Why and how is the COVID-19 Emergency Appeal supporting shelter needs?

Basic shelter needs are another major risk for those in extreme poverty who are facing COVID-19 realities. As income sources become less reliable worldwide, many families are finding it difficult to pay rent and avoid being evicted.

Our appeal is providing rent assistance to those families most at risk of losing their homes, owing to inability to work and pay rent during the lockdown.
