How do you select which children and communities to work with?

We work exclusively with local churches to make sure we find and help the poorest children in a community.

The great thing about our church partnership model is that our project staff understand their communities better than anyone. They’re in the best place to identify children with particular needs, offering orphans sponsorship or those with chronic illness or malnutrition for example. We help all children in need regardless of ethnicity, sexual orientation or religious background.

Our church partners are also selected to ensure we’re reaching children with the greatest level of need. Each of our country offices has a strategic plan to begin partnerships and open Compassion projects in the most impoverished regions of their nation.
